| Meeting May, the month of youth and the Youth's week (5.24~30), MOGEF held the 6th Korea Youth Expo in BEXCO, Busan for 4 days from May 27 to 30 in the theme of“In search of youth's dream! In search of the hope of Korea!”
Jointly held by MOGEF and the metropolitan city of Busan and managed by The National Council of Youth Organizations in Korea, this expo was designed to provide the youth with the opportunity to directly experience and participate so that they may accumulate diverse experience which they cannot learn in school education. About 150,000 persons including youths, parents, teachers and general citizens are expected to visit the site and some 130 groups will operate 300 booths. The booths in the expo will be divided by 7 rainbow colors which represent the potential of youth (imagination, opportunity, achievement, success, hope, information and rest). Comprising some 100 booths, the red Imagination Hall is composed of experience program such as youth's group activity, training activity, ocean, aerospace, cosmos, IT, etc. It is expected that many youths would participate in the experience program of imaginary constellation and astronomical telescope prepared by Keumryun Youth Camp, Busan as a peculiar event. Composed of youth self-governing activity, departments related to youth, special departments and educational program, the orange Opportunity Hall enables the youth to participate in the various programs and to get introduction on the courses of youth department and easily enjoy diverse information and the story of personal experience on career development. The yellow Achievement Hall includes booths of online coterie, school club, etc. which may interest youths so that they can personally experience various programs. Composed of international exchange, working holiday, overseas volunteer, overseas study, international relief, multi-culture, performance, experience and exhibition of global culture, the green Success Hall is the space where the youths longing to be UN Secretary General like Mr. Ban Ki Mun can learn the culture, knowledge and information of many countries around the world. Composed of governmental education policy, sex culture policy and consultation program for school violence, sexual violence, domestic violence, and cyber violence, the blue Hope Hall is prepared to make beautiful and bright world where youths can grow in safety. The companies related to youth participate in the indigo Information Hall to counsel youths on the employment and career development and provide youths with diverse information by introducing social service activity and operating individual experience program as youths seriously ponder over the career and employment. Finally, the violet Rest Hall operates diverse programs so that the youths visiting the expo may watch and participate in the performance. |
